Eight years ago today, Hurricane Harvey roared into Texas and left behind a path of destruction that many of us will never forget. It was one of the worst storms in our state's history, and it hit home for us—literally and emotionally. For many in Port Aransas and surrounding communities, it was the day everything changed.

Homes were torn apart. Businesses were shut down. Families were forced to leave everything behind. But in the face of all that loss, something powerful happened. Neighbors helped neighbors. Strangers became friends. Communities came together.

At Furlow Law Firm, we didn’t just watch it unfold from a distance. We were here. We stood

with our clients and our friends. We worked around the clock to help homeowners, renters, and business owners fight for what they were owed. We understood how personal it was, because it was personal for us too. Many of us had close friends and family affected. Some of us had our own homes damaged. We felt the fear, frustration, and heartbreak alongside you.

In the months and years that followed, we witnessed something truly remarkable. Port Aransas and other coastal communities didn’t just rebuild. They came back stronger, smarter, and more united than ever. The scars are still there, but so is the strength.

Today, we remember Hurricane Harvey not just for the destruction it caused, but for the resilience it revealed. We remember the stories of courage. We remember the families who held on through the storm and started fresh in its wake. We remember how we pulled together, one roof and one family at a time.

And we’re still here. Still fighting for our neighbors. Still committed to helping Texans protect what matters most.

So on this anniversary, we don’t just look back. We look ahead—with hope, with pride, and with gratitude for the communities that remind us what it means to stand strong when it matters most.

Furlow Law Firm: Fighting for Our Neighbors. Standing With You Then, Now, and Always.
